Our process.
-
1. Project establishment
When you submit an inquiry for design, we reach out to learn about your project. This often involves meeting on site to get a feel for the space and location. After discussing the scope and budget of the project, we will give you a proposal for the design. If you would like to move forward, we will sign a contract and ask for a deposit. Then we will start the design process, which begins with Discovery.
-
2. Discovery
We believe it is vital to get to know you so that we can create a personalized design for you. We will engage in a discovery process that involves questions to learn about your goals for the process, as well as ones that will explore who you are as a person. We also use inspiration images to identify your aesthetic preferences. The Discovery phase begins to set the direction of the project.
-
3. Concept development
After Discovery, we begin to develop the concept for the project. We will create a moodboard that will reflect the look, feel and vision of the project. Our goal is to create a solid, well-developed moodboard that will inform all future design decisions.
-
4. Design development
Once we have established the moodboard, we dive into the specifics of the design that will bring the concept to life. Taking into account beauty and functionality, we plan the layout, select materials and design cabinetry. We will present ideas to you for feedback and make revisions until the design is finalized. We also prepare the project for construction by creating detailed drawings and material lists.
-
5. Construction
We stay involved in the project until construction is finished and meet on site with the builder to help with the implementation of the design.

6. Styling and Furnishing
If you would like to put the finishing touches on your new space, we can help. We source furniture and styling items (such as rugs, art and antiques) and install them on site.
